Community Garden:

The Murrells Inlet Lions Club has teamed up with the Unity Community Garden on Salem Road to grow fruits and vegetables for community residents who need a supply of fresh produce and education to improve their health and well-being.

Many communities in Georgetown and Horry counties do not have access or financial resources for healthy eating on a daily basis. Without healthy options, health risks increase. Bringing fresh produce into our communities is a form of food equity and is part of our mission. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life in our diverse communities by increasing access to fresh, affordable produce and providing quality cooking skills education.
