Service Partners
As Lions, we believe in the power of collaboration to create meaningful change. Our partnerships with community service organizations are vital to our mission of serving those in need. Join us in our mission to serve and make a difference. Together, we can achieve more!
The Period Project
The Period Project is a vital organization dedicated to eradicating period poverty and reinforcing the dignity of those impacted by inequality. Their mission is to facilitate access to menstrual health products for individuals in need while advocating for equal and tax-free access to these essential items. Through their work and by raising awareness across the country, The Period Project strives to create a future where everyone has equal and affordable access to menstrual health products.
Community Human Reinvestment
Carolina Human Reinvestment is a vital community partner dedicated to building a better future for local youth and families. Through their holistic #TeachFeedSucceed approach, they provide mentorship and instill transformative life skills that feed both the mind and body. By focusing on helping every child discover their unique talents, they empower the next generation to grow into successful adults who will make a positive impact in our community.
Boys & Girls Club of Grand Strand
For over 25 years, the Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand has been a pillar of hope and opportunity for youth in our community, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances. They provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive through high-quality programs focused on academic success, health, and character development. By offering everything from educational support to sports and arts, their dedicated staff empowers boys and girls to grow into successful and responsible adults.
Lions Vision Screening
As part of the world's largest vision screening organization, the Murrells Inlet Lions Club upholds a mission given to us by Helen Keller in 1925 to be "Knights of the Blind." Alongside more than 130 other clubs in South Carolina, we use sophisticated screening equipment to identify potential eye problems in children. This critical service provides free screenings for approximately 100,000 children across the state each year, ensuring they are referred to specialists for the care they need to succeed.
